Mr.Khalid Sharif born in Pakistan and completed medical education from University of Punjab, post graduate training at Department of Paediatric Surgery Mayo Hospital Lahore and was appointed assistant Professor Paediatric Surgery Children Hospital and Institute of Child Health Lahore in 1996.
Moved to UK in 1999 and joined Department of Paediatric Surgery, Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Trained in Paediatric Hepato-biliary and transplantation and appointed as Consultant in 2006. Earned the distinction of first UK trained Paediatric hepato-biliary and Transplant surgeon and currently offer all paediatric abdominal solid organ transplants including Combined Liver and Kidney, Liver and bowel and Multi-visceral transplants. Supported the development of liver services including Liver transplantation at Military Hospital Rawalpindi and was awarded President Pride of Performance in 2017.
Currently Clinical Lead for the Liver Unit, Lead for Paediatric Hepato-biliary and Transplantation and Clinical Director Cardiac, Transplant and Gi and Associate Chief Medical Officer for international Doctors Birmingham Children’s Hospital, United Kingdom.
